Using a hosted server
Your team runs one copy of Flowline at an address like https://flow.example.com.
You open the URL and sign in — nothing runs on your machine.
Replace
https://flow.example.combelow with the URL your team uses.
Open it and sign in
- Open the URL. You get the interface described throughout this wiki — workspaces, flows, the player, scenarios, suites, and runs.
- Sign in with Google. The session lasts 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Work as in the other chapters. Create a project, draw a flow, build scenarios, run a suite.
What the server holds
The server stores your account, your session, your MCP tokens, your paired computers, and the list of workspaces you have connected — plus a Drive grant if you click Connect server to Google Drive. It does not store your projects — those live wherever you chose in Chapter 00: this browser, a folder on your computer, or your Google Drive.
While teammates have one project open, the server also passes their avatars and save notices between them, encrypted with a key from the project's files. It can't read them and keeps none (Working as a team).
- A browser workspace is tied to one browser on one machine. Signing in to the same server from your laptop does not surface the projects you made on your desktop. Connect Google Drive to reach the same projects from anywhere.
- A teammate signing in to the same server sees none of your projects. Sharing happens through the Drive folder or the git remote, not through the account — see Working as a team.
Sign out from the profile menu when you're on a shared computer.
Want to keep a workspace's files on your own computer and still edit them from this site? See Edit a folder on your computer.
